Door 01 · IP Licensing

Skip 10 years of R&D.

License the autonomous drone infrastructure we engineered with the European Space Agency, the European Defence Agency, and the European Commission. You get production-ready mechanical engineering, an integration-tested software stack, deployed reference systems, and the team that built them — in months, not decades.

In plain English

What is drone-infrastructure IP licensing?

IP licensing means buying the right to deploy or manufacture something Dronehub has already engineered — charging stations, docking systems, drone management software, counter-UAS, hybrid UAV-UGV — instead of running your own decade-long R&D programme. We hand over the design files, the patents, the manufacturing instructions, and the integration support; you ship the system into your market under your own brand.

It is the alternative to two extremes — “build it from scratch” (slow, expensive, regulatorily risky) and “buy a finished product” (locked to one vendor, no sovereignty, no customisation). Operators ship faster; defense primes get a non-adversarial supply chain; OEMs skip the R&D burn.

Who licenses this

Teams that need autonomous drone operations to work — without spending a decade getting there.

  • Energy & infrastructure operators

Oil & gas, grid, rail, water — assets too large or hazardous to inspect by human teams. License the autonomous infrastructure to bring inspection in-house at fleet scale.

  • Defense primes

Add autonomous ground infrastructure to fielded drone programmes without rebuilding the R&D stack. Sovereign supply chain, US-eligible IP transfer paths.

  • System integrators

Package drone-in-a-box and autonomous logistics into your enterprise offering. Our IP, your delivery — under your brand, your contracts, your customer relationships.

  • OEMs going sovereign

Replace adversarial-supply-chain dependencies with NATO-allied IP. Especially relevant for federal procurement programmes under NDAA Section 848.

The portfolio

Seven IP platforms ready to license.

Every system below is funded, built, and in the field. License individual platforms or combinations. Each links to a case study with the engineering detail.

  • UAV Nomad — mobile drone-in-a-box

Run drone fleets from any vehicle or platform. Drones launch, land, and swap batteries autonomously while the host travels at up to 30 km/h — convoy operations, linear infrastructure inspection, mobile defense, agricultural rigs. The $1.72M R&D was done by us under the Polish R&D Centre's Mobile Charging Station programme; you license the ready system.

    Case study
  • Stationary drone-in-a-box

Deploy a 24/7 autonomous monitoring asset at a fixed site — substation, pipeline yard, perimeter, port. The drone sleeps, charges, executes scheduled or alert-triggered missions, and returns home, with zero human handling.

    Case study
  • Docking & battery-swap systems

The engineering that turns 20-minute flights into 24/7 operations. Mechanical, electrical, and firmware IP for autonomous battery swap — the missing piece between drone capability and continuous deployment.

  • Drone management software

Fleet orchestration, mission planning, autonomy stack. Integration-ready APIs so you can plug into your existing operations infrastructure instead of running our cloud.

  • Package & cargo logistics

End-to-end drone transport networks. Hangar grids every 10–15 km, all-weather 24/7 operations, temperature-controlled payloads. Architecture proven in the Airvein medical-cargo programme; transfers directly to defense resupply and humanitarian logistics.

    Case study
  • Counter-UAS interception

Eagle One net-capture interceptor plus autonomous docking infrastructure. Tested with the Military Technical Institute Brno (Czech Republic). The first-ever joint European Space Agency + European Defence Agency programme with an SME — and the IP is licensable.

    Case study
  • Hybrid UAV-UGV (flies + drives)

A drone that flies for 20 minutes, then drives on the ground for 10 hours. The first UAV in the world to integrate full Galileo authentication. Built for search & rescue, border patrol, and any mission where the terrain doesn't allow continuous flight.

What you actually get

Not a PDF and a phone number.

A license with us is the engineering, the IP, and the team — everything you need to ship the system, not just describe it.

  • Design files

Mechanical CAD, electronic schematics, PCB layouts, firmware sources, embedded software. Everything your engineering team needs to build or modify.

  • Patent-pending IP & know-how

Access to our patent-pending solutions for the licensed scope. Engineering decisions documented, failure modes catalogued — the institutional memory of a decade of R&D.

  • Manufacturing handoff

Build it yourself with our BOMs and process docs, or hand the build to our European production line. Pricing structured so you keep the IP and we run the operations.

  • Reference implementations

Working deployed systems you can inspect on-site. Operational telemetry, real-world deployment data, failure analysis from the field — not a slide deck.

  • Integration support

Our engineering team embeds with yours. Architecture reviews, integration debugging, hardware-in-the-loop testing. Available for the duration of your deployment.

  • Field validation data

Test reports from European Space Agency, European Defence Agency, and other funded programmes. Useful for regulatory submissions, procurement due diligence, and your customers' diligence.

How it works

First conversation to signed agreement in 8–12 weeks.

  1. 01

    Discovery call

A 30-minute conversation. You share your use case, target market, deployment timeline, regulatory constraints. We share which parts of the IP portfolio actually fit — and which don't.

  2. 02

    Technical brief

Under mutual NDA, we send the relevant portfolio package: system specifications, integration architecture, deployed-system references, IP posture, indicative pricing ranges.

  3. 03

    Engineering diligence

Your engineering team works directly with ours. Deep dive into the design files, validation reports, manufacturing process, supply chain. We answer the hard questions.

  4. 04

    License agreement

Scope, fields of use, exclusivity, support tier. We've structured agreements from single-product reference designs through to full-platform exclusives — the right deal for your business model.

  5. 05

    Handoff & integration

Design files, BOMs, test fixtures, training. Optional manufacturing handoff to our European line. Ongoing integration support included so the IP doesn't sit on a shelf.

Get started

The R&D is done. The IP is filed. Skip the decade.

Tell us what you're building and who you're selling to. We'll send the portfolio package that fits, set up an engineering call, and line up the diligence path under NDA. Working systems, not slideware.
