Dual-use autonomy.
NATO-allied supply chain.
Six funded programmes across the European Space Agency, the European Defence Agency (98/100 on CBRN counter-UAS), the European Commission, and the Polish federal R&D agency. US Delaware C-Corp, SBIR/STTR-eligible. Zero components from China, Russia, Iran, or sanctioned states. NDAA Section 848 compatible by design.
Below: six dual-use capabilities mapped to specific defense use cases — and two door pages for the procurement path that matches your contract vehicle.
In plain English
What is dual-use drone technology?
Dual-use means the same platform serves both civilian and military missions without a redesign — civilian inspection, surveillance, logistics on one side; military ISR, counter-UAS, contested-environment ops on the other. The economic logic is straightforward: civilian deployment volume amortises the R&D investment that defense procurement alone could never justify.
Dronehub's portfolio is dual-use by design. Drone-in-a-Box runs Deutsche Bahn rail inspection AND deploys at forward operating bases. AUDROS is a c-UAS system AND a CBRN response platform. HUUVER serves search-and-rescue AND subterranean ISR. The supply chain is non-adversarial for both customer pools — civilian and defense.
Capabilities mapped to defense use cases
Six deployed systems. Six defense answers.
Every block below is a real, funded, deployed system. Click through to the case study for the technical detail and the procurement story.
Counter-UAS interception
AUDROS — Eagle One net-capture interceptor with CBRN response variant. First-ever joint ESA + EDA SME programme. European Defence Agency scored Dronehub 98/100 on the CBRN counter-UAS programme.
Convoy ops + mobile command air cover
UAV Nomad — our mobile drone-in-a-box. Autonomous battery swap at 30 km/h on a moving vehicle. Closes the persistent-air-cover gap for moving operations, contested-corridor logistics, and mobile-asset protection.
Hybrid UAV-UGV + sovereign positioning
HUUVER — drone that flies and drives. First UAV in the world to integrate full Galileo authentication. NATO-aligned consortium across 5 EU countries, led by Dronehub.
AI infrastructure inspection at national scale
Deutsche Bahn — 95%+ defect detection on Germany's 33,000-km rail network. Same AI and drone-in-a-box platform applies to border surveillance, defense-logistics corridors, and critical-infrastructure perimeter.
Casualty evacuation + forward sustainment
Airvein — autonomous cargo logistics for medical and time-critical payloads on a 10–15 km hangar grid. Same architecture transitions to casevac, forward resupply, and disaster-response logistics.
Critical-infrastructure perimeter
Drone-in-a-box autonomous protection at ports, airfields, sovereign borders, and defense installations. Robotic 2-minute battery swap, 24/7 availability, edge + cloud compute split, sovereign data path.
